The day care centre MS-Kunigunde offers places for 60 children aged between four months and six years. 40 places are specially reserved for the children of students; the other 20 places can be used by children of working parents from the surrounding area.

There a numerous synergies between the MS-Kunigunde day care centre and the university which have an enriching effect on daily life at MS-Kunigunde. Students and staff at the university often participate in projects that are carried out jointly with the day care centre of the Studentenwerk (Student Services).

A further plus point: the day care centre also takes into account university times in its schedule and thus gives particular consideration to the needs of student parents:

• The organisation of the opening hours takes into account lecture periods and teaching times at the university.
• The holiday closing periods in the summer are coordinated to match the lecture-free periods of the university.
• The admission of a child to the day care centre is possible at any time. 
• Students only have to go short distances thanks to the geographical proximity to the campus.
