Welcome to the Student Services in Paderborn, one of 12 student services in North Rhine-Westphalia. Nationwide, a total of 58 student services are organized within the “German Student Services Association” (DSW).

The student services are modern service providers with a social mission. They make an important contribution to the active organisation of the social environment of the university.

In Paderborn, our 160 employees provide high-quality assistance and consulting services in the areas of room and board, student financing, living arrangements and child care.
On campus, we operate the refectory (or canteen), the specialties restaurant Mensula with its fresh, modern cuisine, the Caféte as an important meeting place for breaks, a pizzeria for those Italian yearnings and the Gownsmen’s Pub that has its own stage for student culture. The Bistro Palmengarten, far away from campus on Fürstenallee, combines the services of the refectory and Caféte for all those who have dealings outside of the university.
Approximately 1,100 accommodation units, which meet individual living demands from a one-room apartment to a housing group, are situated in four housing areas for students close to campus.
The employees in the student financing department provide active assistance in all matters related to student financing, from student grants under the Federal Education Assistance Act (BAföG) to a final degree loan.
The team from the MS-Kunigunde day care centre offers competent all-day care for children from 6 months to 6 years of age. Thus students with children have an opportunity to fully concentrate on their studies in Paderborn.
